COMMON WEALTH GAMES 

• Commonwealth Cell constituted under Urban Development Department.
• The CWG Cell provides
• Secretarial Assistance to Chief Secretary, Special Advisor (CWG) & Pr. Secretary (CWG) in respect of all issues related with the organisation of the Games.
• UD Department provide funds to local bodies like MCD, NDMC & DJB.
• Major Projects undertaken by these agencies are :-

Delhi Jal Board

(a) Installation of 1 MGD WTP & 1 MGD STP in Games Village.

(b) Provision of adequate water supply to Games Village & all the venues.

(c) Construction of Carrier linked Channel from Munak to Delhi.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi

• Providing Parking facilities covering Kushak & Sunehari Nallah.
• Upgradation of 1000 Lane Km of Roads.
• Improvement of Street Lighting & Road Sinages.
• Street Scaping Projects around the Games Venues
• Construction of 17 ROB / RUBs
• Sanitation & Waste Management

New Delhi Municipal Council

• Construction of Talkatora Stadium (Venue for Boxing) and Shivaji Stadium (Training Venue for Hockey).
• Upgradation of Roads, Streetlights, Road Sinages and Street Scape.
• Redevelopment of Connaught Place & Gole Market
• Upgradation of Public Utilities like toilets & Bus Q Shelters
